“We are proud to partner with CFStyle to deliver what is destined to be an unmatched fashion experience; the organization expects this event to be the most sort after fashion event in the Caribbean,” said Dylan Paul, Vice President of NFDA.
Colour Revolution includes two must-see runway shows, four social affairs, and two designer developmental sessions.
The overall event will be preluded on Wednesday, May 28th with a mixer at 9 p.m. at 721 Scene Simpson Bay. The next evening features the grand opening ceremony and cocktail gala at 8 p.m. at Blue Mall.
On Friday at 9pm, Sky Beach will host a fashion party leading up to the inaugural fashion show, “Color Elegant,” which will launch 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 31th at Maho Convention Center. Fashion enthusiasts will then head to Tantra Night Club for an after-party sponsored by Ciroc. The concluding fashion show “Color Resort,” is slated for 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 1st at Loterie Farm.
Designers will be treated with special developmental sessions: a workshop at 10 a.m. on Friday and a business forum at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Both events will be hosted at the Maho Convention Center and are open to all designers.
“Colour Revolution is more than just fashion show for entertainment value; it is about brining together the wealth of talent in Caribbean fashion and connecting them to the billion dollar global fashion industry at large,” said Daniel Smith, Co-Founder of CFStyle.
Among the designers and guests at Colour Revolution will be Donna Dove, who is based in New York; Christina Goddard from Barbados; Prajje 1983 from Haiti; and Kaj Designs from Trinidad and Tobago.
“With St. Maarten’s strong Dutch connection this event will open the gate between the island and the western fashion world as an emerging market and a prime resort location,” Smith said.
Tickets for Colour Revolutions will be available for sale beginning the end of April.
